It's nice to have friends (and family)!

This is our third team serving in Noto. There has been good progress, but there's also still reminders of work to be done.
This may be a bit hard to tell, but this is a photo of a house's foundation which cracked because of the quake. Some buildings still standing have damage like this, depending on the severity of the damage the house can either be restored or face demolition.
There are fortunately groups who are still here in the recovering areas. Besides Noto Help (the group we're serving with), Love East is also continuing their ministry to help with relief efforts.
Love East has been working with a local grape orchard, we joined their team continuing to keep the harvest healthy.
Carol is helping prune overgrowth and eliminating fruit that was stunted and not viable.
We placed bags over the healthy and growing grape clusters, to help ripen the fruit. I'm guessing the number of bags we used was over 100.
Here's our combined teams. It was a pleasure to work with them.
The boys decided they wanted some beef, so they visited a local supermarket and prepared this mini-feast.
I (Alan) joined Ty and Daniel, along with Daniel's Mom and younger brother who had arrived just a couple of hours earlier. They had leftovers, but not very much. We definitely enjoyed!
Tomorrow we'll be helping out getting the headquarters in order. It also includes servicing the sewer line. Stay tuned.
